About us

Temperature Indicators Inc is the worlds only specialist supplier of temperature sensitive labels and tags for use in engineering, food processing, medical device sterilization and motorsport. We are is a family business that was formed in 1988 by Lynne and David Arrowsmith as an offshoot of their Pitney Bowes distributorships that provided labeling and packaging solutions to retailers and industrial clients in the North of England. The HJ Heinz Co cannery in Wigan, Lancashire approached them to ask if they could supply a label that changed color in a static retort cook process. From that moment our business in the sector expanded rapidly, and we began working with clients all over the world. 

Things have moved on from those humble beginnings in the mid 1980s. That same HJ Heinz plant is still one of our highly valued clients nearly forty years later and we're proud to serve customers in food processing and canning facilities in over seventy five countries.

We aim to develop long term relationships with all our clients and ensure that the products we provide precisely meet their needs. We pride ourselves on providing highly reliable and accurate products that have been proven in the field for many years.

Under the guidance of the current CEO Tim Arrowsmith, the son of the founders, the business now operates out of two UK locations in Manchester and Birmingham, and Santa Barbara, California.
