The Thermal Process Check is a temperature indicating label on a printed white, non-tear, Tyvek® card that provides a permanent record for Pasteurization and other heat processes.

The indicators re available in the following temperatures: 71ºC, 77ºC, 82ºC, 88ºC, 93ºC, 99ºC and 104ºC. These temperature indicating tags are manufactured from strong, resilient materials and are designed to be retained as a part of a quality control procedure.

They are punched with a hole at the top of the tag to allow the indicator tag to be easily attached to a basket or tray prior to the heat process. After processing, when the indicator is exposed to the specific temperature of the thermal process tag, the indicator's center turns from white to black. The Tyvek® backing measures 47mm x 95mm and may be written on with a normal biro pen, allow information such as Retort Number, Crate Number, Date and Product to be recorded. We can print personalized designs with your own logo or data fields or even print different materials such as a foil backed card for metal detection.

This indicator is typically used for verification and control of thermal processes of canned or bottled foods and sauces in jars that take place at lower temperatures, i.e. below 250F / 121C.

The active components of the Thermal Process Checks are manufactured within ISO 9001 specifications.

We hold good stocks of the regular temperatures but it can take approx 4 weeks to manufacture these process tags if you need larger quantities.
